Your privacy

Privacy policy

We keep this simple: we only collect what you choose to share, we use it only to help you, and we never sell or share it.

Last updated August 2026. This is a plain-language summary of how Daily Bread Fellowship, the California nonprofit corporation that operates this site and is publicly known as The Daily Fellowship of Bread (“we,” “us”), handles your information.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, for example, when you fill out our volunteer form, subscribe to updates, or email us. That can include your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), city, and whatever you write in a message.

We don't require an account, and you never have to share any personal information to receive food from us.

How we use it

  • To reply to you and answer your questions.
  • To coordinate volunteering and let you know about opportunities.
  • To send occasional updates, only if you asked to receive them.

How form submissions are handled

Our forms are delivered to us by Formspree, a third-party form service that passes your submission along to our email. They process the data on our behalf; please see their privacy policy for details. Our email is handled through standard, access-controlled email services.

What we never do

We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the trusted services above that help us operate. We only disclose information if required by law.

We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-message consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. The only companies that touch your number are the service providers that help us operate: Formspree, which delivers our form submissions, and Twilio, which delivers our text messages.

Text messages

If you give us a mobile number on our volunteer signup form and check the box consenting to texts, we use that number only to text you about volunteer scheduling and food distribution times, about 2-4 messages a month, sent from (575) 223-1242. Message and data rates may apply. To stop, reply STOP to any message or email hello@dailybreadfellowship.org; we will stop within 10 business days. Reply HELP to any message, or email us, for help. We never text people who receive food, we never send marketing or fundraising by text, and you must be 18 or older to give us a mobile number. Full details are in our SMS terms.

Cookies & tracking

This site doesn't use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used, it will be in aggregate and won't identify you. If you turn the ambient sound on or off, we save that choice in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time; that setting stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from updates at any time, and you can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information you've shared. Just email hello@dailybreadfellowship.org and we'll take care of it.

Children

Our site and forms are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll revise the date above. Material changes will be reflected here on this page.
